Holy Orders
Holy Orders is the sacrament through which the mission entrusted by Christ to his apostles continues to be exercised in the Church until the end of time: thus it is the sacrament of apostolic ministry. It includes three degrees: episcopate, presbyterate, and diaconate. It is a sacrament of service ordered to the good of others. God calls certain men to these sacred offices to bring people to God and God to people. Let us continue to pray that more men will respond with generous hearts to this beautiful call to serve God and his holy people.
